Abdul Hakim Aun died at Covid-19 isolation center in al-Jamhowri Hospital in the Yemeni southwestern city of Taiz, local and medical sources said, ten days after the government official was admitted to hospital.
In the last two weeks, Taiz became one of the three Yemeni governorates most affected by the pandemic, amid dire lack of medical supplies and oxygen cylinders at health facilities.
