Sana'a (Debriefer) Last year saw the death and injury of 1,139 Saudi and Sudanese officers and soldiers in fighting with Houthi forces in Yemen, spokesman for the Iranian-backed group said on Sunday.
The 1,139 Sudanese and Saudi troops were killed or injured in clashes with and attacks launched by Houthi fighters, Yahiya Sarie said.
Two thirds of these fatalities were Sudanese troops taking part in the Saudi-led coalition, the Houthi officer added.
Saudi Arabia pushes Sudanese troops to frontlines to receive the largest blows and losses, Sarie said.
Last year, the Iranian-backed Houthi group claimed the responsibility for 440 missile attacks; 340 attacks against Yemeni troops inside Yemen and 100 others fired at Saudi lands.
The Houthi group also announced 4,497 spying and offensive operations using unmanned aerial vehicles inside and outside Yemen.
No immediate remarks have been released by the Arab coalition on the Houthi claims.
