Aden (Debriefer) Fierce clashes erupted on Sunday between two security factions affiliated to the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the Yemeni southern port city of Aden.
Heavy and medium weapons were used in the infighting seen by Khor Maksar and Mualla district, local sources said, following disputes between the two factions over salaries.
The skirmishes caused panic to locals who chose to stay home to avoid shooting, the sources added.
No immediate statement has been released by the STC security authorities that have control over the Yemeni interim capital since August 2019.
