Baydha (Debriefer) Six people were killed and one was seriously injured on Friday, local sources said, after a tank of cooking gas exploded in the Yemeni central governorate of Baydha.
A gas trailer capsized in al-Sawma'a district, southeast Baydha, leading to the huge blast, the sources added.
The trailer's driver and five others were killed in the incident that left one man with critical wounds, according to the sources.
The huge blast was heard and flames and smoke columns were seen from far distances, triggering panic, eyewitnesses said, as locals rushed to the scene in an attempt to fight the fire.
No official statement has been released by local or security authorities on the incident.
