Aden (Debriefer) The Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) calls for the "southern people issue" be included in negotiations led by the UN and US envoys to end Yemen's war, STC chairmanship board said on Saturday at a meeting chaired by Eidaroos al-Zobaidi.
The STC has reiterated its support for peace efforts led by the UN and US envoys, Hans Grundberg and Timothy Lenderking, the board added in a statement carried by the STC website.
The STC "underlines the need for including the southern people issue in the agenda of war cessation negotiations, and developing for that a negotiating framework within the inclusive peace process as stated by GCC talks' closing declaration."
The separatist STC called for a rapid formation of a joint negotiating delegation as stated by the Riyadh Agreement, according to the statement.
