Dhalea (Debriefer) The Yemeni Joint Forces (JF) on Thursday fended off a Houthi attack targeting their sites in Fakhir military axis, north the southern governorate of Dhalea, military sources said.
Houthi fighters fired RPG shells at JF sites in an attempt to advance towards the strategic hills of Othman, sparking clashes with JF troops, the sources added.
The developments came after weeks of Houthi deployment of additional reinforcements in all their combating sites with the purpose of carrying out military operations, the sources said, despite the UN-brokered truce.
No immediate comments have been released by the Houthi group on the attempted attack.
