Taiz (Debriefer) The Yemeni government armed forces on Friday thwarted a Houthi attack targeting their sites east the southwestern governorate of Taiz, army media center tweeted, despite the ongoing UN-brokered truce.
The Houthis tried to advance in Muneef hill, to the east of Taiz city, the center said, noting that the army had foiled the attempt, without further details.
On 2 June, the Yemeni government and Houthi group agreed to 2-month extension to the UN-mediated truce that started on 2 April.
