Sana'a (Debriefer) The United Nations needs to be committed to opening new destinations through Sana'a international airport as stated in the ongoing truce, head of the Houthi Supreme Political Council said on Sunday at meeting with his minister of transport and chairman of civil aviation general authority.
This will "alleviate the suffering of people travelling for treatment, expatriates, students and businessmen, and will lead to full opening of Sana'a airport," Mahdi al-Mashat added.
All the necessary services and facilities should be provided to travellers leaving and arriving at the international airport, he said.
Earlier, spokesman for the Houthi group accused the Saudi-led coalition of failing to honor commitments under the truce.
The group's agreement on the UN proposal to reopen roads [in Taiz and other provinces] is connected to the military situation and ceasefire, Mohamed Abdul Salam added.
