Aden (Debriefer) Fierce infighting erupted on Tuesday between Yemeni army troops and Southern Transitional Council's (STC) forces in the Yemeni interim capital of Aden.
Emergency forces of the STC-affiliated First Support Brigade engaged in confrontations with Security department forces in Mualla district, local sources said.
The infighting concentrated in the Mina (port) St., blocking the traffic, the sources added.
The clashes were triggered by disputes over election of a new managing board for transport drivers' union, the sources said.
No reports were obtained on casualties.
The southern port city of Aden has been under STC control since August 2019.
