Taiz (Debriefer) Three Houthi militants were killed on Wednesday following the blast of an explosive device previously laid by the Iranian-backed group in the Yemeni southwestern governorate of Taiz.
The explosion took place in al-Jobairiah area in Jabal Habashi mountain, west Taiz city, local sources said.
No immediate statement has been issued by the Houthi group on the incident.
On Tuesday, Taiz's western quarters of Osaifera and Zpnooj and eastern parts of Salah Valley and al-Sormain witnessed renewal of sporadic battles pitting the Yemeni army troops against Houthi fighters.
The fighting expanded to fringes of the Old Airport front (western outskirt of Taiz city) and al-Ahtoob front in the western rural part of Taiz governorate, Taiz's military command-run media center said.
