Riyadh (Debriefer) The Yemeni Leadership Council (LC) on Wednesday reiterated its unity and respect of all the national issues, dubbing a release by the European Union in this regard as inaccurate.
On 12 December, the EU issued a statement deploring the Houthi practices that worsen the humanitarian crisis and destabilize the Yemeni and regional security, and calling the Southern Transitional Council (STC) to recognize the core importance of the LC's unity.
While they hailed the European condemnation of Houthi acts, the LC's eight members dubbed the EU statement as inaccurate in relation to the LC's unity.
The STC was disappointed by the EU statement that "harms the Yemeni LC coherence," spokesman for the Emirati-backed STC said then.
Having read the EU statement, the STC sees the words about the STC with regard to the LC's unity as "negative, untrue and disappointing," Ali al Kathiri added in a release.
