The leader of the Houthi group (Ansar Allah) Abdulqader al-Murtada, confirmed the receipt of his group 128 prisoners released from Saudi Arabia.
"We received today from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) 128 prisoners and detainees released by the Saudi authorities in the first response to our initiatives in the prisoners 'file," Murtada, who heads the group's prisoners' committee, tweeted on Thursday.
Al-Murtada considered the release of prisoners a good step, hoping that "other steps will follow, and that the prisoner exchange agreement will be fully implemented."
Al-Mortada said on Tuesday that what was announced by the coalition to release 200 prisoners of his group "nothing of this has been done so far" ..
He added: "We will clarify everything in time."
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Thursday it had returned "128 detainees from Saudi Arabia to Sanaa".
