The Minister of Awqaf in the Yemeni internationally recognized government, Ahmed Atiyah, called Wednesday evening the citizens of his country to perform the blessed Eid al-Fitr prayer in homes, as a precaution against the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Attiyah tweeted: "I hope everyone will not turn the joy of Eid into a funeral season."
"Spacing has become a legal duty today ... pray in your homes and do not meet during Eid prayers, so you will be the cause of the disasters of the spread of the virus."
He stressed that the meeting for Eid prayers is only a Sunnah duty (not obligation) ... and to protect society from corona is an obligation and a sacred legal duty. "
As of Thursday morning, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in the internationally recognized government-controlled areas reached 180, including 29 deaths and 5 recovery cases, while the Houthis announced three injuries, including one death for a Somali immigrant and two cases of recovery under official and popular accusations of discreetness on the real numbers of victims.
