Yemen announced Sunday evening that the total number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) infections had risen to 484 after two cases were registered in Hadhramout Governorate, in the east of the country.
The Supreme Committee for Emergencies of the internationally recognized Yemeni government said that it had registered a death in Shabwa, bringing the number of deaths to 112, while the number of people recovering reached 23.
The committee explained that the recorded cases of infection were distributed among Aden, 130 cases, including 5 deaths, Hadhramout 128 cases, 48 deaths, 12 cures, and Taiz 93 injuries, 24 deaths and 4 recoveries.
In Lahj, 50 cases, 17 deaths and 2 cures were recorded. In Shabwa, the number of injuries reached 24 and 7 deaths, and in Al-Dhale'a 15 injuries were recorded, 4 deaths and 13 cases, 4 deaths and 2 recoveries, and Abyan 12 infections, 2 deaths and 4 recoveries, and in Al-Mahrah 2 injuries, one death and one cure were recorded.
These figures do not include the areas of control of the Houthi group (Ansar Allah), which is discreet about the number of COVID-19 infections and deaths.
