The Saudi-led coalition detains some 420,000 tons of fuel on 15 tankers in sea, the Houthi group said Monday.
The detained vessels have 429,789 tons of oil onboard, including 259,833 tons of petrol, the Houthi-run Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) said in a statement.
"Holding up vessels is a blatant violation of the international human rights convention, international humanitarian law and all applicable laws and conventions," the Sana'a-based YPC added.
By denying the tankers access to Hodeida port, the coalition ignores essence and goals of the Stockholm Agreement stipulating that the delivery of essential supplies and humanitarian aids must be facilitated to the Yemeni western seaport, the statement read.
