Hodeida (Debriefer) - A Yemeni fisherman was wounded on Saturday as a naval mine blasted off Tohaita district in the western governorate of Hodeida.
Medics received Mohamed Wahban Ali Hassan with serious wounds on different parts of his body, the Giant Brigades' media center quoted medical sources at al-Khokha Hospital as saying.
The civilian was injured by a Houthi mine while the man was fishing in the sea, the sources added.
Medical teams provided first aid to the wounded who was then taken to Aden hospitals for treatment, given his critical injuries, according to the sources.
Late last December, the Yemeni official government troops said they found naval mines that "the Houthis laid" in the Red Sea.
While the Arab coalition said its forces destroyed 175 mines "randomly planted by the Houthis in the Red Sea", no comment was issued by the group on the claims.
Yemen 6-year-old war has triggered what the UN calls the world's worst humanitarian crisis, with most of the population in need for a type of humanitarian aid and immediate protection.
