12 fighters killed, injured in fresh violence in west Yemen

HUDAYDAH (Debriefer)--At least 12 fighters were killed and injured in clashes that broke out when pro-government forces thwarted an attempted advance by the Iran-allied Houthi group in Yemen's western province of Hudaydah, a military source said on Sunday.

Two from the pro-government forces and three Houthis were killed and seven from both sides injured, the source said, according to Sputnik.

On Saturday, the information centre of the Giant Bridges, part of the pro-government forces stationed in the Western Coast, said two Houthi fighters were killed and Houthi vehicle armed with a heavy automatic machine gun destroyed in Kilo 16 east of Hudaydah.
