Dubai (Debriefer) - An Israeli company-owned oil tanker was attacked late on Thursday off Omani coasts, leaving two people killed and damages to the ship, western sources said.
The owner company, Zodiac Maritime, dubbed the attack as possible piracy in the Arabian Sea, but the British Marine Trade Corp ruled out this potentiality.
The attacked tanker is the Japanese company-owned Mercer Street, the London-based corporate said, noting that the ship is operated by the Israeli Zodiac maritime company.
The medium-sized tanker was heading from Tanzania en route to the Emirati port of Fojaira, according to ship traffic trailer service.
While no party has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, props are underway for further details.
